IEPAS’ project partner and activity lead, the Consortium for Capacity Building, has released a draft a USAID OFDA funded study. The report, “Hydro-Meteorological Disaster Risk Reduction: A Survey of Lessons Learned for Resilient Adaptation to a Changing Climate“, examines a decade of work to find lessons for climate adaptation projects. In capacity development activities, what constitutes climate adaptation is often difficult to define. As a result many adaptation activities are ‘business as usual’ or repeat investments made earlier. The report from the CCB looks for best practices from hydro-meteorological disaster risk reduction projects to provide guidance for those investing in climate adaptation.
